Range Rover Blues:
The seperate cylinder heads have distinct advantages though, mostly that you can choose the correct gasket for each cylinder thus keeping the compression correct rather than a compramise and yet you can work on each one seperately.  With the price of second hand VM engine I wouldn't worry even if the cost of a head is £250, a 200/300TDi will cost that much and they are prone to cracking too aren't they?

Well thanks to you all for youre hints an tips but the rangie fell thro story of my life. Since tho i have brought a H plate disco 200tdi tax mot with 2"lift kit modula rims and collway mts winch bumper saffari snorkel steering gaurd cb and a rew other bits for 700 sheets.
