Thing is who's car was it? if it's nicked the poor b*****d who used to own it will have to pay out under the road traffic act (actually his insurance) if it belongs to the git who was driving then shouldn't the car be forfeit in compensation?

But no, the poor law abiding motorist foots the bill.  Feel real sorry for the guy, that's 2 I've heard of in as many days, and I havn't been out much :roll:
