if you dont have power steering why not just fit twin alternators?
standard one to run the usuall and the second were the power steering pump wud be to power a seperate battery for your winch??

that sounds like a good but ive got power steering so wouldnt wont on mine but ive put a new battery on and cleaned the aot and it seems to be working fine fot now but ive only used the winch once for a sort time so didnt realy use much power but only time will tell

Damon:

--- Quote from: "Mutz" ---Have you thought about fitting a Pajero alternator as they are designed to charge 2 batteries and are rated ( I believe ) at around the 85amp mark.
But they arent cheap. HTH.

Are these a direct swap or are mods required?  :)

Mutz:
Not having taken mine off and not knowing much about Zuk's i couldnt tell you.
But obviously would be a benificial conversion.

jeepmadmike:
I would not be suprised at all if a winch is using 85A at no load they use series wound motors which are great for producing huge torgue but use current to match, my vitara runs a 70A bosch alternator one i found laying around. i used to run front and rear winches and never had charge issues even when either or both had been working hard. i run a since gel battery which i think is a 90Ah
