Surely if you actually read all the listing you knew prior to bidding that there was no collection and the postage was costed accordingly......

Like what's already been said I always price inc postage, not the price of the item, I sell bits on eblag, I dont offer collection and I charge proper postage on items,

My aim is to cover costs, maybe make on it, but certainly not loose.

In my opinion what your complaining about is just as bad as the idiots that bid on cars and collect only stuff then back the deal because they didn't know where <insert> is.... tough! get a map!

you bid on their auction, by bidding you agreed to the terms of that auction, now pay up!

If I want to collect, I always email the seller to check if that's OK.  I wouldn't assume that it will be unless they've specifically said.

In fact, by doing this I managed to avoid a fraud auction for a non-existent satellite phone - the guy was funny about me picking it up and I smelt a rat so walked away.  The winning bidder lost several hundred quid.

The time that I agreed to let someone collect, she asked before she bid and I was upfront and said that basically I wanted a minimum amount for the item, we agreed an amount and she collecte from my work, my point is that complaining now the action has ended and the item won is tooooo late unless the item and aution was miss described.
