That depends on the engine. You can have 2 seemingly identical engines, but subtle differences in ports, etc can require different needles.
Different CR's, camshaft, heads, filters, etc all make a huge difference to the needle requirement.
The only way to accurately set the boxer is with an exhaust gas sampling point on 4 of the exhaust manifold pipes (one for each carb). Then the mixtures can be set as though it is 4 separate 2 cylinder engines. This is what they are going to do with mine. Nice and easy on steel Janspeed manifolds. They weld threaded bosses on. Not so easy on cast iron ones unless the material is thick enough to drill and tap.
They are going to give me a copy of their old hand drawn 'instructions' before I take the 110 away. So if you do decide to follow this route, I can fax you the details. Alternatively, you could take a holiday in Norfolk and get them to do it for you!
One major disadvantage is if you want a snorkel..... plumbing that in would be a nightmare :lol:

They now have the dimensions, photo's, etc of the manifolds. But speaking to him today, he is not sure if he will persue the manufacture of them. He seems to think it would too expensive to have them made and put them in direct competition to injection systems. What they might do is make proper drawings and sell them for people to have them made themselves.
Should get the beastie back on Thursday :D
