FOREST WIRE KITS.... road legal?

just had a thought would these be road legal? lets just say you hit a pedestrian and they managed to get thrown upwards, wouldnt they cut them in half!
so thought are they road legal?
whats peoples opinions... discuss?

I've seen vehicles on the road with them, not sure if the MOT man would like them though but thats an easy fix for just one hour a year!

Wire kits keep branches, particularly the heavier ones, from smacking the windscreen and causing damage.
Handy if you drive lots of heavily wooded greenlanes... or the amazon rainforest... not really convinved of the need to have them permanently attached.
A couple of quick release connectors at either end and they can sit in yer kit bag till they're needed.
Otherwise.... 4x4 bling!

I feel sure that there is a law in relation to having having sharp edges or sticky out things that may cause harm e.g the Rolls Royce silver lady.
Then again, if someone gets hit by a large vehicle, its going to cause harm. Damage limitation, I suppose.
