Glass replacement - recommendations? *Now Done*

<< < (3/4) > >>

wing nut:
im sure you have to request glass cover on tpft insurance

Rangie3.0LtrDan:
well the way to remember it is third party fire and theft covers third party damage, fire to yours, and theft to yours.  if you want to cover your vehicle to make sure you dont have any repair costs (other than the excess) then its comprehensive.

i would say glass replacement generally comes under comprehensive as tpft doesnt cover repair to your vehicle.

Manicminer:
Many years ago I had glass cover with my TPFT,any driver, any vehicle in my possession, etc. Sadly over the years they were all removed 1 by 1 by the insurance company to keep the premiums down. Not too sure what extras my FC covers.

Ah yes but glass isn't classed as a 'real' claim when it comes to claims, NCB etc.

I will ring a couple of brokers as I am wondering about this now. I don't know why I am bothered as I have had FC insurance for more years than I can remember but it would be nice to know and if the news was good it may help others in the future.

Any claim for anything is counted.  Cos its all a claim at the end of the day.
