I reallywant to take the side-steps off the 110, but SWMBO tells me "NO!" as 'Small-Child' uses them to get in (she's 51/2)

It's alos being pointed out that they do a good job of preventing 'parking dings'.
Though at work, I tend to have a reserved parking space when I'm on lates (up a foot high kerb  ) & on earlies I can usually get into a corner bay with more space, before all the office staff & various out-patients arrive.

On the subjsct of bay dimensions, I seem to recall reading somewhere  (either 'Autocar', or 'Auto-Express'?) that bays have been painted narrower in private operator car-parks in order to fit more cars in, & cynically fine drivers for incorrect parking.

Range Rover Blues:
Well firstly My Micra is only about 2 inches narrower on the track than Blue, though it is about 2/3 the length.

I want to fit side steps to the LSE just to protect the paintwork, I don't like the look of them but rock sliders are a bit OTT on this one.  If I park it anywhere I'm not happy then I stick it in extended mode to make it look bigger :)
