gords:
Make sure all your wheel bearings are OK before trying to sort the ABS light / sensors

petergalileo:
Cheers Gords, have read that and am going to check it tomorrow.

I was right, after 1996 the ABS connector was integrated into the Main ECU fault code reader socket in the footwell top panel.

Have read the code and I have too large an air gap on my front right side sensor, strange as I removed it and reseated it earlyer, will have another look and replace it if it happens again.

Thanks

Which wires did you need to bridge on the OBD2?
Were they just the same colour as described in the guide?
As i too am unable to find the blue ABS plug.

Cheers,
Mat.

petergalileo:
Its been ages since I did this, I have a diagnostic available now :)

I beleve its the same colour wire as in the article you read but it goes to the obd plug instead of running to its own diagnostic connector.

The other colour is either of the black ones as they are both earths.

Matbrown:
Such a shame you are so far away otherwise i would be paying you a visit.
For such an important socket, there doesn't seem to be many wires going to the OBD, 8-10 maybe, would have expected more.
Also my Disco was registered on the 13/09/95 (N reg) but i'm sure it doesn't have the seperate abs plug.

Mat.
