Braking

(1/3) > >>

Ollie:
I'm woefully aware of the difference between my car and Laila's braking ability. The 110 is heavy and takes a wee while to pull-up sharpish :(bigshock):
I'm using Laila more and more with my two children in her, Niamh and Kailen, (2yrs & 10mths), and wondered if anyone has been able to upgrade the brakes on a Defender 110 with noticable success :?:

Cheers
Ollie

muddyweb:
Do you have vented discs ?
What tyres are you running ?

Ollie:
Yep, 1995 standard 110, with vented front discs.
I'm running standard LR issue boots - Grabbers.

I'm not complaining at the stopping power, all things considered, I'm looking to greatly improve it if at all possible :)

Cheers
Ollie

Bush Tucker Man:
If everything's 'up to scratch', the braking capabilities ought to be fairly good anyway (mine is), due to the maximum laden weight  & the towing capacity.

smo:
I wouldnt expect any miricles to be honest, i recently took my 90 back to LR because of poor braking performance and they tested it, checked it all and said its fine.

Its clearly not, i can't even lock up with BFT-MT's on, so there is somthing a miss but i cant find it and they recon its ok.
