2. Audi S1 Quattro
The Origional, the engine slung on top of the headlights but what an example of German enginering at it's finest.

And in many ways still unbeaten. Mine has the same 2.5Lt S5 10V Turbo engine and drivetrain. Sticks to the road like its on rails and for such a heavy car, man can they shift. almost twice the weight of a Scooby and yet almost as fast, more reliable and more fun. Almost V8 sounding scream as they pick up :)

Had the chance to buy Dads Senator but an inept mechanic finished it off. When it was taken away to an enthusiast it needed crankshaft bearing, crankshaft, torque converter and possibly a lot more. Mechanic did something to it, we still dont know what, then disconnected the oil light, so mum drove it about 3000 miles with the bottom end getting only splash lubrication.

PUX:
i miss my mk2 16v gti it was nice. suttley lowered just rite ported and polished head, stainless steel manifold stright through exhuast and would leave alot of chavs still wondering wot the red flash was    on a private road of course   i really miss all my golfs

dew1911:
The Latest breed of Audi Quattros (RS6 and so on) Still use pretty much the same platform - Very little has changed.

It is worth noting at this point that there are two types of quattro.
1. quattro - Also known as "Halex", wehere the Vehicle is Front driven until grip is lost, then the differential automatically fires power to the back end. Used on most A3 and A4 normal Quattros.

2. Quattro - The one everyone knows, perminant 4x4. Used in things like the RS4 and Q7.

A lot of people think all Audi Quattros are 4x4, but in reality only the really sporty ones tend to be perminant.

oh, number 3 for my list
Aston Martin V8 Vantage.
Windsor Castle on wheels with a V8, bloody fast for the size of car and also tremendous luxury.
