I made a tough choice before i got my 1st Discovery.
I was working for a Vauxhall dealership as a car valeter and we used to move the cars between the sites and to and from customers.
We got to drive the entire range (to the max sometimes   )
My favorites were the 2.6 GSI Vectra, the 3.2 Omega and the Astra 2.0 turbo 888 coupe.
I sold my Series 3 and made some good profit and was forced with a dilema...
Do i buy a Range Rover (which i've wanted since i was 10) out right or use the moneys on a VX220 Turbo on finance.
The dealership offered me a 6 month old VX220 for £14,000 (they are £22,000 new) and iwas sorely tempted.
But (is'nt there always) i decieded that my licence and life was far to important to risk on a 4 sec to 60 2 seater with the handling of a Lotus Elise.
I could'nt find a Range Rover which i liked in the end and bought my 3.5 V8i Disco instead
Looking back.....did i make the right choice  :-k .
Yeah, i think so.
The VX220 would have been great fun but its not very family friendly and i do reckon i would have crashed it by now.
Maybe in the future i'll get one  .
