Have you seen what's floating around in the sea off Skegness???  :lol:  :lol:

P.S. No offence specifically meant to Skegness...... just the first place that came to mind  :lol:

Here's a brief overview of;
Desalination

ian_s:
i was at Staunton Harold reservoir in south derbyshire a few weeks back and it was overflowing. i think is one that supplys water to derby, so we're gonna be ok :)

tomarse:
They should put more effort into promoting water recycling - It wouldnt have been hard to just build houses with water butts to save rain water, or even to have used one single gutter for the whole house so that a butt can be easily added (just bitter as its going to be hard work to combine my 3 gutters :evil:)

I've been trying to work out how to rig up a system to use my waste water to flush the bog (as it uses 7.5litres each flush) but i cant find a big container cheap enough :(

I also need to sort out some way of catching all the water that drains down my garden from all the houses and garages furter up the hill. I keep having to shovel my drive back up the slope when it rains!

Evilgoat:
Have thought about this, live in a communal block of flats so volume of water isnt a problem. What I would like to do it pipe it to a tank abouve the garage, through a simple mesh filter to get the crap out then use that to jetwash the car.

Need to get an idea of how much I use each time :)
