DEF110:
I am getting ready to do a chassis change. Dose anyone know a supplier of hardware (nuts, bolt, washers)? I would like to buy it all from one source as a kit. Is there someone that has a full hardware kit for a defender 110 chassis change?

Litch:
That could be an easy but quite expensive way to do it.

I did mine almost exclusively in stainless steel. I checked the size of things in advance and then bought in bulk from my local fixings wholesaller and got a very good discount (forget shops, DIY stores or Screwfix, this is the trade place). That way I had lots of spares which have served my very well over the past few years. Generally they tend to be 6MM & 8MM with a few variations here and there and of course bolt/screw type (hex head, phillips etc). Suspension, steering fixings and the like need to be zinc plated high tensile and kits for thes are available from any aftermarket supplier.

If using SS one tip is not to buy all the bolts/screws in the correct lengths, buy lots in a just a couple of lengths (long & longer) and then cut them down as necessary. That increases your buying power (i.e. bigger quantity means  bigger discount) and you will always have on the correct length to hand (after a little sawing that is).
If using ZP then you don't want to do this as the ends will rust which is not good!

There's actually a company called 'Land Rover Fastenings' (or some thing like that),  it only does LR nuts & bolts etc...
Sadly, I can't find any details at the moment

What was the lengths of the bolts you got 30mm, 50mm, or longer? Do you remember the quantity of each you bought?
I have the doors and bonnet ss hardware already. If  you can remember the amount you bought that would help

Litch:
PM sent.  :D
