At work we carry out a RPC test (Reduced Pollution Certificate) where owners of LGV's that pass this emissions test can make savings on exercise duty. Maybe all vehicles should have this test rather than just having to meet a minimum standard.

Its another £30 over what is paid at the moment. That is not going to put anyone off. It is designed to placate the antis and raise the extra tax that the goverment is going to lose from excise duty elsewhere.

Its all those sad posh mums in thier 4x4's causing all this, do they actually buy a 4x4 for a reason, or do they do it to show off and produce more pollution because they could just use a more efficient car.

It only mentions emissions, not 4x4 users in particular.
So all the big cars/suvs/4x4s will be targetted.
What the hell, just pay up, its not gonna go away
