big problems ,over heating no power ,black smoke

<< < (2/8) > >>

H:
is the pipe thats sucking flat before or after the turbo (sorry not that familiar with the TDi engine but good with engines in general)
H

bombx3:
as the turbo kicks in

H:
am thinking that if its after the turbo that your turbo bearings ahve collapsed and the turbo may have seized, the bearings going would allow engine oil into the exhaust hense the black smoke, its sucking flat because only limited air will make it past the turbo and the dramatic loss of power should be obvious.

H

bombx3:
yes there is no power at all on turbo, the 2"pipe from the intercooler to the manifold goes flat like it cant suck

Sharpshooter:
If you have a blockage on the air side, then the diesel being burnt will cause the black smoke. I.E if it is a very rich mixture.

Try taking the pipe off before the turbo and see if it still does it. If not, then looks like an intercooler fault.

KEEP YOUR HANDS AND OTHER THINGS OUT OF THWE WAY.
