Injuries while working on your landrover.

<< < (2/4) > >>

Wanderer:
Trying to catch a piece of falling glass isn't a good idea.
Nor is rapping your knuckles on a tow bar on the back of a dumper truck while trying to get it started.
The scars are still there. It took out all 4 knuckles on my fingers.

You shouldn't laugh but I was in stitches earlier reading all of this lot

Oh we had a grinder disk fail and it flew off with about 6 pieces. They managed to embed themselves in the BWSOW (caravan).
All along one side. I was gutted.

Stick on reflectors help to hide the damage.

FAT BOY:
I was drilling holes in the rear tub of by 90 and the drill slipped and drilled through my finger that hurts when all the skin is wraped around the drill bit 5 stitches :(bigcry):

MK-90:
I managed to crush one of my fingers when removing a towball from the front bumper. :(bigshock):

Bones well and truelly mashed....nail fell off....took two months before the thing started growing again and another three for all the signs of injury to dissapear :(bigcry):

Bush Tucker Man:
Whilst not happening on a Landie,  I saw a patient the other week who'd degloved a finger (with his wedding ring) when it got caught during loading the roof-rack & he slipped

jjsaul:
lots of scraped knuckles etc but nothing too major.

trapped my knee with a 2.25 engine we were moving once (the day before going skiing!!!) but that wasnt too bad, just a bit swollen.

put a nail (the metal type) through my finger once in D+T at school

also once dropped an LT95 gearbox on my foot - no injury - glad i usually wear safety boots!
