Rover 25 TD VERY low in power

There are no noises like air escaping even when the cars hammered.
The car is very sluggish below 2-3 thou rpm but does pick up later in the rev range but is still very gutless.
Don't know how the long the cars been like this - it's the mother in laws and she's just been driving it because she's "used to it now" - DOH.

Thanks for all your help chaps - think we might go for the air flow sensor first.

Just to let you know  - it was the mass air flow sensor at fault - tis now renewed and power is restored (even tho it cost £135 quid :shock:  :shock:  :shock: )
