Nothing todo with the glow plugs ,once the engine is started they become redundent, sounds to me like a fuel fault, have changed the filter recently is there a water drain in the fuel line, try changing the fuel filter cheapest options first.

Siecroz:
Hmmm... I might try the Fuel Filter... I know where that is. I did also wonder about the fuel, as when I got to about 3000 revs in third it struggled to do much more.. started jerking..  hmmm... time to give a parts dealer a ring for a fuel filter then ... worth a try.

Thanks

Siecroz:
Right... Ordered a replacement fuel filter from Vauxhall. £8.40 + vat. Worth a Try at that price. The Mrs is picking it up for me today.. so guess what I'll be doing tonight :)

Anyone have any idea's if there are additives that I can put in the Diesel Tank to give the system a clean?? (first Diesel I've owned)

Thanks

I use an additive made by Millers in mine.  Buy it from discoparts.co.uk mail order.

TimM:
You'll hopefully find that most of the 'rubbish' in your tank etc has ended up in your filter.

You can run through some injector cleaner etc as an additive such as Redex diesel treatment available at all good car parts shops or halfrauds.

If you haven't tried this before, it might not be a bad idea to run some through to clean everything up, I personally wouldn't recommend additing it to every tankfull though (as the instructions and some people will tell you), I've never seen the point.
