Suspension heights (2" lift)
TimM:
I have just ordered a 2" lift kit from Paddocks, it has come with all the extras including spring clamps, extended brake lines and (dare I say it) Dislocation cones.
I'm just a bit concearned about the sizes of the Britpart Yellow springs, the front ones are clarly a different construction the the rears, but what worries me is that the rears are 1" higher than the front....
The invoice also says:
front 1" 25KG 20 (as I have no winch)
rear 2" 100KG 30
I can't telephone them to check this is right as they are closed now and are not open until Monday.
Can anyone here tell me if this sounds right or have they sold me the wrong ones?
chuggaman:
spring heights for a disco are different from front to back

TimM:
Thanks Mike,
I suspected everything was going to be OK, but I was just a little paranoid.
I wanted to be sure BEFORE I had them fitted.
:D

I ordered the same 6 weeks ago.
Invoice said exactly what you have just said so i phoned them and it is correct they give you 2" fronts if you have a winch etc. Fitted mine no problem and it does work out OK and Disco looks the Biz.
Just wish i had thought of another way to compress springs, bought Halfrauds compressor and it takes a lot to compress the. All i can say is be patient and careful.

J B:
you dont need to compress the springs, just remove the shocks and then lower the axle further down, with the chassis supported further up of course, and the wheels off
