Suspension heights (2" lift)

<< < (2/4) > >>

bambamjj:
I still could not get them in with the chassis supported shocks off and the Axle virtually on the floor.

I was not using a hi-lift to get the height on the vehicle  (and i have ARB fitted)

Bulli:
Tim,can you stretch to a set from scorpion?(springs i mean).
I had the blue springs from paddock a couple of years back(bearmach ones) And they were crap. They are a diff height front to rear but saying that you want 2icnh if you have a winch is rubbish. You dont want a longer spring you want a heavier spring to keep the ride height the smae but provide the correct rate. If you simply compensate by crushing a longer spring the handling will suffer.
The finish comes off quicker than a rangie back door rusts!!

TimM:
To late Bulli,

they are here now and they are booked in to be fitted on Tuesday (so no worries about compressign them), cost was a factor when I ordered them, scrooge is my hero so I looked for the cheapest (which I know is not always the best way).

Anything has got to be better than what i had before.  :D

TimM:

--- Quote from: "bambamjj" ---I ordered the same 6 weeks ago.

Invoice said exactly what you have just said so i phoned them and it is correct they give you 2" fronts if you have a winch etc.  Fitted mine no problem and it does work out OK and Disco looks the Biz.

Jon,

Glad I asked on here first then!

I thought it would be right, the man I spoke too seemed to know what he was talking about, he knew my car better than I do!

bambamjj:
Fortunately scrooge is not my hero but the wife loves him
