G4RY:
A tradition yes but not this side of the atlantic me think's
Bar humbug and all that

suzota:
i locked the gate.
trouble is i'm the school caretaker so its hard to be mean to the little darlings when they call.
luckily it was p******* down with rain.

Colin 009:
Hate this stupid idea, of sending  your kids out to trick or treat.
last time I had some kids call they couldn't have been older than 5 to 7 and there was no adults to be seen.

 What are these people thinking.

In this day and age what happens if you give the skids sweets and they choke or are sick, or you squite them from water pistol and they get wet. who would be liable.

Disco Geordie:
No not tradition at least not British.

The urban myth I heard was it started due to Blue Peter in the 70's anyone shed any light on this?

Spacemud:
None at all even though we have kids and sweets at the ready. We would have only got kids we knew anyway.

What I'm looking forward to now (not) is fireworks every night until the New Year. The dogs, rabbits, guinea pigs, chickens, and various other birds love' em!  :x
