Warranty madness.....

<< < (2/3) > >>

the loon:
Heard a story about local land rover dealers who took a disco in for some warrenty work and gave the guy a brand new freelander as loan car.
There where some issues with the dealers and the guy and went on about 3 months.
Eventualy he took the freelander back and they where rather confused at the dealers.
They though that the loan car he was driving had been sold and where about to sell his disco as they beleved had been taken as part-ex against the freelander
funny but scarry at the same time

Book time to change a dash bulb in a Zaphira is about 2.5 hours - you have to dismantle have the interior  I agree that most dealerships are staffed by muppets, but so are the design departments of the manufacturers!

Your not wrong. Ever tried to change a rear bulb in a disco with seven seats? You either need hands like a girl (and three elbows) or take the seat out. Ridiculous

The thing thats most peed me off about this latest episode, is that the technician did not check his work after completing the job - otherwise he would have found that the door does not open (it does now, but the child-lock is stuck in the on position), and that the door lever inside the car is not returning properly. A quick test by the tech, or the workshop manager would have saved all this grief - and would have saved me another trip to the damn place !!

I'm an engineer, and I always check everything before handing the install over to the customer - that's quallity service, what I've had from the stealers so far is nothing short of cr4p.

Let's see if they can smooth things over when I take the Disco back in.

Jim
