FUEL PRICES

<< < (9/14) > >>

sulley:
I filled the Disco earlier and it cost me 96.9p/lt.

Put £58.00 worth in, which equates to 59.75 lts.   It was never that expensive for my Astra!!!!  Although unleaded was more expensive than Diesel!

Budgie:
Petrol & diesel are now the same price up here, £1.02.9 per litre, as of yesterday!

As for the fuel blockades/protests, didn't affect us last time cos our fuel comes by boat from Grangemouth!  :D
Still looking at converting the Rangie to LPG though.

woody:
the price of fuel has hit £1 per litre in Blackpool

sulley:
Nice to see the convenience of the cash machine inside so they can make sure they get there money !!!

Shouldn't they start looking at putting a mortgage advisor in there too, 'cos at this rate you'll need one to fill the car up!

Range Rover Blues:
Actually with the way the gov't taxes the oil inductry they could quite happily 'fix' the price of fuel because they make so much tax on the refineries anyway.  The cost of fuel tax is far more than 340 percent, it's more like 500 plus.

The problem will not be a short-term one either, it's not just this hurricane, that's just an excuse for their greed, it's the emergence of China and other developing countires as oil-consumers.  Now that they have all our manufacturing jobs they want to drive cars! whatever next.

Untill we stop the Ynaks using 5 time the amount of fuel per head that we do in Europe there will be no answer.

As for LPG, it's right that it's a waste product of the gas and oil industries, we have plenty and they want us to use it. It is a clean fuel and LPG cars will be exempt from future polution/congestion charges becasue of it.
In Australia it's far more widely used and still cheap enough to be a worthwhile alternative.  To the oil companies it's almost money for old rope!
