This is weird, since owning my Disco its always crunched going down into 2nd, even with frantic double declutching.
Yet today I changed down and silence, smooth as silk, I thought it may be a flook so I have been changing down to second whenever possible and still silent and slick............should I rename the Disco Spooky or is there another reason ?????????

I have a self sealing Disco too, similar in nature to yours.

The centre spring on the gear stick went.  We lived with it, only occasionally getting reverse when it was actually 1st that was required.  Then it became damn near impossible to get reverse.  I even asked on MC how to fix it.

Then, all of a sudden, everything was back to normal.  Nice centre spring, easy reverse.

If only I could have a self healing "clunk" and self healing rust.   :D

My Charity is the same with lots of things - Gearchanges/Oil leaks/strange noises.

I was convinced that she was doing it deliberately :?  I started to become a Land Rover Hypocondriac (is that right  ).

I just wait until something breaks these days
Vehicle history:
Discovery 200tdi - Charity - went past her expiry date
Discovery 300tdi - Clarity - went into rear of Audi A3
Discovery 300tdi - D'une  - went bang
Discovery TD5 - unnamed - just went

Cliff - In my own little world............visitors welcome !!
