What? Both of them?
davidlandy:
Jonathan is missing a bump stop on the OSF of his rangie. the constant battering of the shocker snapped the first the turret mounting ring off, then the turret itself.
so they do do something.
landyman Ash:
Oh yeah. If you just drive on the roads you'll be fine as you never really cross axle....
BUT if you off road it can bend your chassis, snap sock monys etc etc.
My mate Tim snapped the rear OS section of his chassis because he didnt fit them. Nightmare when you consider they cost £5 and take about 20 mins to fit!!
hobbit:
MOT wise yes it is a failure
Depending on how friendly your tester is, I had a spare ready to fit in the vehicle and he let me off
gords:
I shall be replacing them - I'm not quite sure exactly how/where they broke yet. It looked like the mount was still there and just the rubber (?) was missing.
While I'm here - I've just done a 1" lift - should I also extend the bump stops?
Colin 009:
I always seem to lose one before an MOT, the feller just tells me its' missing and leaves it at that.
