What? Both of them?
gords:
I had a very nice day out laning on Sunday with some fellow Mud Clubbers.
While on one of our stops (can't remember where), Matt (Matt_H) had a look underneath the back of my car - I think he was looking at the tank guard.
"you're missing something" says Matt, "where?" says I, "there" says Matt ... "eh?" was probably my response. "you haven't got any bump stops" says Matt ...
Does this ring any alarm bells with anyone? Is it likely that they've fallen off due to age/rust, or have I somehow managed to break them off?
"hello, Land Rover spares, how may I help you?" ... "Oh hello Mr. Saxby, back again so soon?"
jnoshea:
Gords, your car is a similar age to mine, and my bump stops have started to come apart between the rubber and the metal bracket. Shouldn't think it'll be too long before I rip them off. The birthday bash should just about do it if I can make it.
landyman Ash:
They perish and fall off.
If your offroading get some new ones as you can hammer your chassis.
I would not be concerened in the slightest as long as you put some new ones on.
Guy90:
Isn't it an MOT fail to have no bump stops?
Or am I thinking of something else :?
landyman Ash:
Im not sure.
I know its againts the ARC rules not to have bump stops in trials but I dont know about the MOT
