Yup he looks well and truly stuck. Once you're dug in up to the axles in real soft mud like you've had it! All the gizmos and diff locks in the world won't help. Maybe only winch self recovery would do it?

BTW cost me £50 for a tractor tow out on lane in Northamptonshire once. Morale- never laneing alone if you don't know the territory!

Yep. If he'd had a landy, he'd have broken down long before he got that stuck!

200 quid is a bit steep

you would think so..

but what is your alternative in those conditions... :)

i presume the guy got out and walked the track as it looked boggy before he got stuck..

sorry my common sense thingy kicked in there ;)

landcruisers do it better
« Reply #11 on: September 04, 2005, 13:27:44 »
Landcruisers do do it better and they not only drive to lanes and sites but play all day then drive home in comfort, how many landys can say the same???  Mine is a spec,ed 70 series with a few toys like.... a masive modified G12 winch, simexes, snorkel, diff lockers front and rear, special build winch bumper etc etc. If you look in Total Offroad last month it was featured and looks great but is up for grabs now as new project has come along so if anyone fancies it give me a bell  ( dullboot24@tiscali.co.uk)
you can in a Toyota i am sure

Thread locked now to prevent further "Mine is better than yours" arguements.

We've been there before and there is a no-win situation involved, just bad feeling.
