Electric Fan, one or two?

(1/2) > >>

ep90:
I want to replace the fan on my 300Tdi with an electric version.  I have a brand new fan from a Rover 600, is this going to do the job? (not sure of the size 12-14"?, I'll have to measure it)

I use the same fan on my Series IIA and it works ok (don't often have to turn it on, but when I do it cools down quickly)  FYI when I had my Landy on the rolling road I did a back to back run and the metal fan takes 5hp off the peak power (at the flywheel)

Do the kenlowe kits use twin fans?

ep90:
anyone?

wizard:
I think you will be fine with a single fan.
I put a single kenlow on mine years ago, works great.

wizard

landyman Ash:
The TDis run quite cool so Im sure a single fan will work fine.  The V8s need twin really but as its diesel, why not!

At worse if you see she runs hot fit a second one later on.

Range Rover Blues:
I've got 2 on the V8, you can run them at half speed to keep things quieter.
