Saw one at the Steam Fair this afternoon, looked good.
It turns out I know the owner slightly, he asked if I wanted to buy it?

Or his other vehicle; a (genuine) Camel Discovery 'Raft unit'

I fitted some SIMEX ETs in Jan.

WOWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW What a difference. Make my old Dirt Devils feel like slicks! These things stick like poo to a blanket.

Hand on heart, its the best thing I have ever bought for my Landy :twisted:

well i like it, got one myself just in the middle of bobtailing & liftting, engine just gone in & running (3.8 perkins),

what size are them tyres?? & how big is the lift???

2" OME lift and they are 35/10.50x16.

abit of rubbing on radius arms but otherwise fine.

that said one of my others is to have a 40mm body lift, +2 OME springs with Pro Comp Shockers to give better articulation

I think they were Ã‚Â£ 245.00 plus carrage and VAT (got them at the end of 2003) so don't quote me.

Fitting is interesting!! fronts not bad but backs well lets say you've got to be brave.

I know the 2 door kit was about Ã‚Â£150 but the 4 door was more but all the better if they've come down.

the noise level is quiet high but you soon get used to it,

i haven't had them long, so haven't done mainy road miles yet

off road well i've had colway MT's, Scorpion MT's and xcl's and the simex leaves them for dead. most of the stuff i've done is mud and they just, as long as you keep momentum, keep digging in and pulling you through.

i bought the simexs for a challenge rangie i'm putting togeather so we started of with what every one else is using and i can see why they do.

money well spent because you will always say "if only i had" if you don't.

Compared to something like a BFG Mud-Terrain, the wear rates will be terrifying. If road work is a consideration, then my advice would be to keep away from the ETs

The JTs aren't quite as bad, but even they will wear quickly on the road.

Off road, as has been mentioned they work very well in a lot of terrains.

Have to agree the ware rate is probably high on the Simex but as the challenge car is to be trailered most of the time I expect them last a while.

As I've got another Rangie which I use off road and all day for work I use Colway MT's (lot of work on landfill sites which trashes them) mainly because of the ware and noise issues.

That's why I've got two

How about SIMEX MP Trekker? I heard these are radial tires and are more street friendly compared to Extreme and Jungle trekker?

Any feedback in terms of street noise and thread wear?

I'm seriously looking at buying them for my 2 door RRC (7.5 X 16)
