How heavy is the transit unit? Does it have lots of grunt?

Im not exactly sure how heavy the transit engine is, its all cast so will be a little heavier than a tdi, it is definatly far lighter than some of the other favoured engine such as toyota 6cyl diesel.
There are many different engine specs for the transit, they range from about 70hp upto around 150hp from what i can gather.
All depends which engine you go for and how old it is, and if it has a turbo or not.

Our rangie had the 70hp motor in it, although it wasnt as quick as a tdi, it was a lot cheaper to run than the old V8, and was much cheaper to fit than a tdi.
