robbie:
I was travelling from London up the A1 near to Grantham and came across this truck broken down near to a slip road to a garage. It was in a very unsafe position on the road and I decided to help........

I was quite surprised how easy the Disco moved it, well chuffed. The guy was about to take the rope off but I quickly stopped him til I took the piccie :)

Colin 009:
Well Done that man, that something  like 8 or 9 tonne you've pulled.

Bush Tucker Man:
It surprises people what they'll move.

I've done about 20tons

The rope looks a bit thin though

robbie:
it wasnt a rope but a strap, it didnt seem to struggle and did not disform the strap although it was only supposed to be a 5ton strap :)

Oh, and it was all we had anyway :) The guy on the rig didnt have anything at all.

It did get a bit oily and the guy apologised cos he had dirtied it.... I then invited him to a day off roading to compare the difference :)

muddyweb:
You aren't actually pulling the weight of the vehicle though...  think about an airfield tug... they move hundreds of tons.

It's all about the rolling resistance... on tarmac it isn't too bad.
