Gearbox Noise

(1/3) > >>

MuckingFuddy:
After meeting up with some of the other southern Mud-Club members last week at the Grand Canyon  , I have started to suffer with alot of gearbox noise. Could this be due to the ATF being contaminated with water or mud, or have i done some major dammage :?

I plan on changing my gearbox ATF tonight, I have changed all the T-Box and Axle casing oils since going out to play and they were quite creamy

Your thoughts please? :P

hobbit:
Wont do it any harm to change it if you havn't especially after a fun day, also re-check the other levels for any contanimation again. Worth a 10 minutes to find any probs then a diff change or cv later on

MuckingFuddy:
do you think the gearbox noise could be due to the oil being contaminated?

MuckingFuddy:
I have changed the G-box t-box & diff oils and still have noise when gearbox is under load, like a whining noise. What have i done????? do i need a new g-box?

Xtremeteam:
