I took a patient up on one of our new wards this evening, glanced out of the window towards the Pennines & saw a red shape in the car-park under window.
So dinner-time saw me wandering off round with my digital camera.

Related thread

What a nice looking car, very low, very mean looking, very muscly, very retro!
It's the first time I've seen the new model on the road (& in the metal)

It even has a Hospital pass in it, I'll have to make enquiries.

The nice weather even brought out the 'Dart' belonging to one of the Urology Consultants, very nice indeed
.

Yesterday at dinner-time I'd seen a Chimera parked up that I knew belonged to a staff member.
He came out as I was looking, a 'Plastics' registrar.
Owned it for 8years, but his wife wants him to sell it & buy a 'family car'

"Perhaps something Like a Discovery?"; I asked
"Yes"; he replied, "One was mentioned"

"Aah, I just happen to know someone with a Discovery, who'd love a TVR"

The Dart isn't a favourite of mine, I think it looks too busy like that fish with a moustach.
Could live with the Coupe above though but I've just bought Julie a 2 door coupe for her birthday!  (don't laugh, this one RUNS).

Admittedly not the best shade of green.

But what a car, even though it's the 'baby' derivative (the 4.0 Litre)

I would take cheap plastics on mustang over chimera anyday :roll:
as you clearly work at a hospital I would recommend booking in and seeking medical advice immediately :lol:

I've hired Mustangs in the past.  You're right, they are built well, as I found out when an unlicensed, uninsured driver ran into the back of me when I was stationary at a red traffic light.  But I was disappointed with the performance.  You put your foot down and get a lot of noise, but not much go.  Typical American car then!

I was pleasantly surprised by the Dodge Durango I hired last time I was in the US though.  Ignoring the interior, brakes and steering, the ride was good and it was superbly quiet at speed.

I'm not saying I don't like the Mustang, I do, I've got a liking for 'muscle-cars', but I've got even more of a liking for TVR's

By The Way;
The Asylum that shared our grounds closed as part of all that 'Care In The Community' calamity a few years ago.
It's the place that originated the phrase 'As Mad As A Hatter', as the first patient when it opened was a Milliner & they used Mercury as part of the treatment for the felt. And as you can guess Mercury isn't very good for the human body
