SORN question
« on: February 26, 2012, 18:42:01 »
Hi All,
With all the recent changes and tomfoolery about insurance- what's the status of pre-73 vehicles stored offroad? Do I need a road tax certificate? It's a 66 S2a spread across a reasonable chunk of Northamptonshire.

cheers
Alan

Mine is sorn I cancelled insurance didn't have to prove it. been sorned for 2 years now, you will get a tax reminder each year as usual just tick the sorn box or do it online and thats it.

as long as its sorn then dont need to be insured, only needs insurance if its on road/not sorn.

HI there, you don't need insurance if you vehicle is sorn and off the road, you'll get a reminder every year until you tell them otherwise, the new law's (or should i say existing laws) is only for those vehicles on the road with tax and no insurance
