Range rover evoque
dxmedia:
And why does powering a diff, through a pair of half shafts on CV's take less energy than powering a diff through straight halfshafts with no CV's? I'd say that you are exactly wrong. Running a live axle will have less frictional losses than independent with CV joints.
Range Rover Ron:
Land Rover had an "event" while I was working in Logrono, Spain, about a month ago,
they had the two door and the four door parked up in the main square,
so I had a good crawl all over them both.
It looks great inside, all leather and colourful but I think LR have [person of questionable parentage] the RR name.
It is small and does not resemble a RR in the slightest.
They should have called it the Freelander Sport.
It was not parked near to a freelander but I'd bet it is smaller than one!
The salesman said LR had targeted women drivers.
In a nutshell, it's awful!
Ron.

The Evoque will be- and is already a good seller - it's aimed at a target buyer group - i'e well heeled mums to do the school run in and well heeled young couples who don't want the size of a Range Rover or Sport it's built to compete with the likes of the X3's and X5's of the world and like others have said - if it's a good seller and keeps the brand alive , i'm all for it!.
