hrh_dave:
Hi all...
Having to do a bit of welding on the chassis of my 90... i.e. fitting a near cross member... Ive got a stick welder but had thought about looking for a mig, been looking at the sealey mightymig's 100 its gasless and uses fluxed wire... Any comments on what these are like would be appreciated...
Thanks

Go somethink with more power the clarke 150 is a good tool and use gas as its alot nicer.

I have never got on with a gas less. I use a little Clark 151TE Turbo works well and my little genny will just run it :cheesy:
Topple:
just bought myself a sealey siegen mini mig 130 to do the bulkhead and door frames. still practising - a long way to go me thinks !

I bought a clarke years ago; 100 i believe, have welded loads with it including ally and its gassed. Gas is not that expensive and you get about 1/2 hours use out of a bottle, you weld for seconds at a time so you can get a lot out of 1 bottle.
For anyone learning to weld this is a good site......http://www.mig-welding.co.uk/....... might help you@ Topple.
