new offroader from mid wales

hi guys and girls,

was reconmended to join this site by another member so here i am,,  i live in tregaron in ceredigion mid wales and have recently bought my 1st 4x4 which is a 1988 3.0 V6 (petrol) manual FORD BRONCO imported from the states in 1992.. have got some big plans for it incl a bodylift and suspension lift and bigger tyres.. have done the usual and added some lights but thats all so far

Welcome, you're not far from Strata Florida! Just get a decent map and make sure you know where you're supposed to be driving.

its in the middle of a forest thats less than 5 mins from me on the abergwesyn mountain road..

yeah less than ten mins drive from me, saw the route in a off road mag the other month and plan on doing it with a few others at some point that come this way to do the run

Cool, cracking area that you live in, very close to Soar Mynydd as well, nice circular route for you!

Just need to get my lane machine back on the road and I can come out to play.

One thing you need to remember with Strata is that only one of the sets of ruts is the legal route, if in doubt it's usually the easiest line with the hard packed gravel or rock surface. Get OS Explorer 187 if you don't already have a copy, they even do a waterproof one which is ideal for Wales at this time of year!  :lol:

Obviously don't go alone or when the water's high, but I'm guessing you knew that already.
