Diff problems or transfer box issues HELP WANTED??
«

My landy seems to have developed a bit of transmission trouble, when i dive in RWD it bounces heavilly at certain revs, sort of hard to explain really but it feels really juddery. If you put it into 4wd it will then dirve fine, does this sound like rear diff issues or transfer box issues?
Sorry for the usless style of this post but i can't think what hte problem may be so any help would be awesome before i rip my diff out.

By the looks of it it was a much more obviousl problem, my osf wheel bearign is shot to hell, i think this will be causing the vibration off load as the acceleration will centre it. I will replace the bearing and i imagine that will sort the problem. i feel a bit silly now.
Thanks for the help

Worn/sloppy prop shaft splines will give the symptoms you seem to be getting, no cure for the splines , it needs a replacement prop shaft.

You thought about getting some freewheeling hubs mate? save your front prop from wearing out and extra mpg...
If you do rebuild heres a link to a DIY mod for extra movement using Rangie flanges
http://forums.lr4x4.com/index.php?showtopic=60293
always good to have a bit more movement when running para's I'm totally doing this mod when I get my LWT running again!
