Chrome bumpers
andyhubbard:
Hi guys, there on a M plate at the mo and have the indicators in the bumper on the rear and yes i think i'll remove and sell on very cheaply. If i go with the winch i will also sell the abar and spots as well.
Disco Matt:
You can just fit a winch bumper without the winch. That will usually get you some decent front recovery points and maybe hilift jacking points. Just have a very close look before buying if headlight washers are important to you - not all winch bumpers are the right shape or have the holes to fit these into.

True Matt,i must admit to thinking this way and as regards to headlight washers there just something else to break. Shape wise i prefer the square rather than round and also going down the side of the front wing.
Disco Matt:
I don't think the tubular ones look right on a Disco, it's down to personal preference though.
Mine would be great, if my steering guard hadn't bent and tugged the tip of the right hand chassis rail down by 2mm. As a result the bumper doesn't sit level, attempts to elongate the holes and adjust it weren't successful. Still need to get around to taking it to a local fabricator and asking for his advice on how to sort it as neatly, solidly and cheaply as possible. It also sits too low, so I think new brackets may be needed. I won't be adding a winch until I've got it level and solidly bolted in, at present it only has one of the towbar-sized bolts installed as the other hole doesn't line up.
