Disco 200tdi in to a NA 90, what needed and how to do it?
« on: October 04, 2010, 18:51:38 »
I have a Normally Aspirated 90 that i think needs a new engine due to a rather bad smoke problem, i would like to run a 200tdi in it but i seem to only be able to find one from a disco. I know that there are not a lot of differences between the disco and defender 200tdi's but i am just wondering what work will be involved to get this engine fitted and what bits are needed.

Cheers

Rich

The 200tdi Disco into older 90s is a common conversion now and is well documented in mags and web sites ,there is loads of info in this forum and people with better knowledge than i are here to help out with info,Steve Parker engineering do a complete conversion kit with all the bits you need and is highly reccomended
its well worth doing and transforms tired Defenders,
