MacMillan 4x4 Challenge
« on: January 05, 2004, 14:32:00 »
Hi All,

I have been accepted to take part in the MacMillan 4x4 Challenge this year and am currently looking for sponsorship to support the MacMillan Cancer Relief Fund.

I know we have said that we, as a club, will support Children in Need when it comes around again, and that Christmas has only just gone by, but I would ask you for your support wherever possible.

SWMBO, the main driver of our Disco, has agreed that I may sticker up the car with sponsor logos.  As part of the deal she has said that if I get enough sponsorship from the Mud Club, I can put a big splat on the bonnet and promote the club that way.

So if anyone can spare a pound or two to a very worthwhile cause it would be most appreciated.  You can PM me for contact details should you so wish.

Thanks in advance for any help you can offer.

PS - If there are any directors/bosses/company owners out there that would like to put their company logo on the car for a donation, then please contact me.  All sponsorship will be gratefully acknowledged.

Simon,

I did the Mac Challenge myself last year,

Like you I found getting sponsorship was like getting blood out of a stone,

between Tim (navigator) Kemp  and myself we got about £ 800
the highest team got near to £2500.................!

If you want any tips on what your letting your self in for I'll have a chat with you at Tixover  on the 18th.

Otherwise PM me

Hi all,

Thank you for the donations so far.

Unfortunately, we have not yet reached the target set by SWMBO to have the splat on the bonnet  :(

So, come on and help out a good cause, and at the same time promote our club  :)

Righty ho...

I'll put down a tenner...

Come on people, we need to get this man annointed with a HUGE mud-club sticker, lest his bonnet not be bedecked in such a stylish logo :)
