Some doctors are poo
Bob696:
On friday I started to get twingies around an old scar on my gut. oh oh thinks I, I have had this befor, its a cyst forming.
So off I toddle to the doctors to get it sorted.
Doctor knowingly informs me that it is not a cyst but a sweat rash due to me being fat. He prescribes me some cream and off I toddle home.
Feel worse on sat.
On sunday feel downright awful
Then at about 8pm this 'sweat rash' burst.
Hospital job, intravenous antibotics pumped into my system and now have 6 pills to take every 4 hours.
The only reason I wasnt admitted to a ward was because karen said she could take time off work to keep an eye on me and there was a shortage of beds.
I just made an appointment with the same doc for tomorrow night as I want a consult with him on how to prevent sweat rashes

Sorry to hear you are unwell, and have become yet another victim of the
glorious NHS. I had a simular experience when i was 19 (a long time ago)
GP told me kidney and water infection- next day was rushed into hospital with burst appendix, had septisemia and absus on pelvis thus 1 hour away from death....... really builds you with confidence ehhhhhh.
Anyway hope that you are feeling better soon, perhaps the same GP will suggest its your age or perhaps put you on a diet for those sweat rashes

Don't get me started on Doctors. We had a whole catalogue of events with my late Father - took them weeks to decide he had cancer and then it was too late. 10 weeks later we buried him. Our whole family left that doctor's practice and registered elsewhere. Tricky for me, personally, as I sell to these doctors at Glos Royal. I can't stand the place and make excuses not to go there
driftwood:
sorry to hear that, hope you make a early recovery.
our doctors are pants too, we pay for all these university students (not all i add) for them to get a degree in saying :-
"take two paracetamol and come back in a week"
some doctors however are pretty good, unfortunatly there not the ones you see!
Bob696:
Doctor at the hospital was excellent took the time to explain everything. Nurses were terrific. Local GP is going to get a telling off.
Feeling better now as I can swollow without pain. Might be well enough to try and fix that plunger on my hand brake tomorrow.
