TD5 Passenger Door not unlocking
« on: September 02, 2010, 20:03:18 »
Went to open the bus this morning and the passenger door didn't open with the key fob. All other doors opened. Climbed in and pressed the dash board switch and again nothing. The door can be unlocked using the handle from the inside. Having looked on t'internet it seems to be an issue relating to the actuator

My question is can I try anything first before I go and replace the actuator assuming its shot

could try checking that the wiring to the actuator isn't damaged, at least that will rule it out and possibly save you some cash if it turns out you do havea break in the wiring or something.

Strip it down and watch it working. They can be adjusted by sliding the actuator closer or further away.  The wiring AFAIK uses the same pair of wires for lock and unlock.
