(1/3) > >>

tomkbucks:
I want to make some storage in the back - and fix to the plastic trim - what hooks or ways to fix to the pannels do people use ? It will most likley be a cargo net so something to fix that - i know some nets come with fixings but i need lots !

mine came off ebay as new take off from Ford transit vans, really cheap for a bag of them - keep an eye out.

tomkbucks:
Both look good ! thanks , what do you use to screw in to plastic trim ? can you screw in to the headlining ? how thick is it ? or am i going to have to take it off and glue plywood to it ? its in a disco not a defender so not easy to screw too !

ChrisW70:
I've yet to make use of them... but I did drop the headlining down in the back end and fit 3 or 4 rivnuts to the channel on either side of the roof that runs just in front of the alpine lights. Intention is to drill through the trim and bolt something up there, not sure yet whether a cargo net or a shelf tho...

I did used to have a cargo net on the roof using cup screws into the trim - worked fine until the trim decided to snap due to the pressure from the net!

tomkbucks:
i was thinking the only thing do to was take off the headlining - glue ply to it then fix to this ? what are screw cups ? shame there are no bolts or points behind the trim i can bolt in to !
