is it jetted for ur CC of engine?

Si

Thanks si as far as i know but i thought if it was jetted for a 1600 it would continue to idle fast ans not cut out

to much fuel can be as bad as to much air for a carb m8y
either can stop the engine if its all over the shop

one way is to cup ur hand over the top of the carb (filter removed) and while you rev it by hand open and close hand over the carb to change the air flow into it see wot happens
this can usually let you no if running lean or rich

I went and bought some petrol additive to clean the carb also poured some in the top now it will idle at about 2000 rpm sometimes it drops lower but not cutting out im  hoping its just a bit of deposit and will disolve over the next few days if not i think i will have to get it looked at properly or give it back the guy has offered me my money back which is great of him but i do need a new carb and im reluctant to put my nikki back on cba lol :afro:
