I need to replace the front seats in a 110, what do you Defender types recomend ?
The originals or something better.
I dont fancy the tilt handle on the original seats as it keeps poking me in da ass every time i get in or out  :'(

Subaru seats fit and are very slimline and comfy. Most Maestro/metro/rover seats fit. the gta/gt seats been best as they're bucket seats.

Cheers for that.
I have seen a few Cobra seats on ebay, but didnt know if they are suitable.
I was going to spend half a day trawling around scrap yards looking for somthing that would fit.

Following on from this question, how easy is it to modify some of these seats if they can be found??  Something like the metro gt seats as i want to get a set for my 110 from a local metro breaker!!

Metro & maestro are a staraight fit. with anything that doesn't fit. You just need 2 flast bars drilled to suit the landies seat mounnting holes. and then either weld or bolt the seat runners to the flat bars.

I got a set of sport recliner seats here from what I think might be a Ford Escort XR3i, they have been fitted with plated rails for fitment to seat box and where fitting in an expedition 110. With the driver side bolted in and the passenger side on rivinuts to allow easier removal for excess to battery compartment. The previous owner swore by them for increased comfort over the standard seats and slightly raised seating position. I am near end of breaking the vehicle they where in so the seats and there mountings are up for offers.
