Brake bias valve
« on: May 07, 2010, 20:48:39 »
My  1988 90 has a TD5 rear axle fitted by a previous owner, so originally had drums on the rear. Tonight I had to brake a bit sharpish for some idiot who pulled out on me, ( brave or stupid), anyway it the rears locked up a bit too easily in my opinion, so I was wondering if the bias valve needs changing for one off perhaps a 300tdi to get a better braking balance?

Yes, sounds like it.  They need quite accurate selection, apparently the LSE has a different one to the 100 inch RRC, it'sthe same car just a bit longer, so how different it needs ot be for disks I wouldn't lke to guess.

Fit the 300 TDi one perhaps?
