« on: May 01, 2010, 21:17:07 »
I need a new battery for my RRC 3.5V8 EFi, but as i've moved the battery to the seat box I'm wondering can i buy any battery i like, basically i want the biggest battery i can find which will fit in place, is there anything particular i should be looking for?
Cheers

Biggest battery that will fit, keep the wires short and thick.

Oh, and moving it inside the cab, not a wise idea!  You need to put it into a sealed box with a vent tube going below the car, batteries give off flamable/explosive gasses.

Thanks, its going in the seat box under the passenger, i'll make sure the lid is sealed into the cab and there is some air flow in/out underneath

If your venting the box underneath somewhere then consider whether your going to leave the box exposed to water when wading, or just slowly filling up with mud wen off-roading.

Depending on what your already planning maybe you should vent it with a pipe above your wading depth.
