Range Rover Blues:
As Devon rover siad, untill about 1992 the steering box drop arm had a balljoint in it and the front drag link had a swan neck screwed into the LH thread.  From about 1993 on and certainly the 300 series/softdash models they had a standard balljoint attached to a straight drop arm, the fornt drag link is longer.

At the back, the only difference is that a RRC/Disco had a 2 peice track rod with 2 RH threaed balljoints and a LH threaed adjuster so that the steering damper allways lines up.  Defender has no damper so can have a single poiece track rod with one LH threaded balljoint.

After market H/D kits almost always have the Defender style, a bracket can be bought for the damper.
